Currently (29 Jan 2023) shipping to Europe for a small USPS flat rate box costs $56.40, which fits a couple of knives, folders, and other items less than 8 inches in length. A medium flat rate box costs $112.55, which fits sharpening systems, spokeshaves, large strops, creasers, up to 20 pounds maximum. Prices change frequently so check with me. I’m happy to ship multiple orders in one box to save on shipping costs, but everything needs to be paid by one person with one invoice.
DOMESTIC SHIPPING
USPS . Shipping speeds are usually it is 2-3 days. I will send you tracking info once the item is shipped, usually within three business days from your order. If I can’t ship for more than 1 week from your order, I will let you know. Shipping is $15, plus each item is $1. So the way I look at it, it is cheaper to buy lots of stuff.
CUSTOM TOOLS
Please send me a detailed diagram, including dimentions. I’ll let you know if I am able, and about how long it would take. Any custom designs remain your intellectual property. There is a minimum charge of $250.

WARRANTY / DEFECTIVE MERCHANDISE
All products are guaranteed for my life. I will repair or replace anything if there is a defect. This does not cover normal wear and tear. All knives get dull. If there is a problem, or you feel the knife was not accurately described on this site, please contact me and we will discuss options. Please note that the sheaths are not covered by this warranty, if they happen to separate, just put a bit of PVA on them. I want you to enjoy your knife or tool for the rest of your life, and am committed to resolving any problems amicably.
RETURN POLICY
If tools are not used, altered or damaged, I'm happy to give you a full refund, but I don’t reimburse for return shipping. If you decide you just do not like a knife, but it has been used, I will take it back minus an additional $30.00 fee for regrinding and resharpening. If the handle of a knife is dirty or altered there may be additional charges. Returns must happen within 30 days of purchase. Let me know if you are going to send something, though.
PAYING BY CHECK
Contact me if you would like to pay by check. I will calculate the total price for you. Then you send me a check. Once I receive it, I will ship the tools.
PAYING BY CASH
Schedule a time to visit. I'll give you a tour of the Cloisters Museum near me then buy you a drink. Maybe lunch or dinner if you buy a lot of stuff.
PAYING WITHOUT MONEY
Let's talk. Maybe we can trade or barter something.
OUT OF STOCK ITEMS
Once the used items are gone, they are gone. If you want a new item that is out of stock, contact me and I will let you know when I can make more.
TEST DRIVE
Everyone is welcome to visit my studio in northern Manhattan and try out the knives. I make all of them by hand, and especially the ones with the wood handles vary. It is best to pick out one that feels right. Get in touch to schedule a time.
RESHARPENING
I am happy to regrind and resharpen any leather paring knife. Ask me for turn around times, and a good time to ship. Knives I have made will have a factory fresh edge. If it is not a knife I have made, I will do my best, but often the steel quality is unknown, so the result may be less than perfect. Generally cheaper knives are cheaper for a reason. That said, often older knives are made from excellent quality steel. Sometimes it is best to preserve rare or unique older knives in their original condition.
